What products, materials & ingredients are restricted from sale at Wolf & Badger?
The following materials are prohibited from sale on Wolf & Badger for either sustainability, ethical or other reasons.
Prohibited products & categories:
- Larger items that fall outside of our maximum package size/weight limits, listed here
- Items priced below/above our minimum/maximum designer product price, listed here
- Perfume
- Nail Polish
- Supplements
- Electrical goods (such as anything with a plug, battery-operated or LED)
- Sunglasses without UV protection (sunglasses need to have the CE mark or meet ISO standard 12312-1:2022)
- Furniture
- Wallpaper
- Lampshades
- Cooking pots/ pans or large ceramic/ stone/ copper vessels
- Knives & any bladed item, including gardening shears
- Matches
- Frames and framed artwork
- Rugs
- Statues (unless they fit into a standard shoe box of 36cm (14 inches) in length, 25cm (10 inches) in width, and 13cm (5 inches) in height.
- Cushion/pillow inserts (sold without covers)
- Mirrors
Prohibited materials:
- Exotic feathers (eg. Marabou & Ostrich)
- Steel & iron originating from Russia (including components of items, eg. jewellery clasps)
- Fur (see more info below)
- Exotic Skins (snake, reptile, kangaroo)
- Fish leather
- Stingray leather
- Angora
- Exotic hardwoods
Prohibited Skins & Furs – Animals Primarily Bred or Killed for their fur and/or skin:
- Mink
- Fox
- Chinchilla
- Raccoon
- Rabbit
- Coyote
Accepted Skins – Byproducts/Co-products:
Materials sourced as byproducts of the meat or dairy industry, where animals are not raised or killed solely for their pelts or skins, and where there are no live-plucking or mulesing concerns.
Examples include:
- Sheep shearling
- Lamb shearling
- Cowhide
- Alpaca wool/fibre but not skin
Prohibited Ingredients:
- Mineral oil
- Keratin
- Cannabidiol (CBD)
- Alcohol (including perfume and fragrance products)
- Paraffin wax
- Parabens
- SLS/SLES
- Phthalates
- Synthetic fragrances
- Formaldehyde-releasers
Wolf & Badger does not allow products with violent, degrading or discriminating language. This could be about race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation or protected classes.

Wolf & Badger has the right to deactivate any products that they do not find suitable for sale. No notice will be given for the deactivation of products that are non-compliant with the aforementioned guidelines.
