However, please note, this does not constitute formal tax advice and it is recommended that each supplier seek its own independent guidance from a qualified advisor to ascertain its own specific legal requirements and obligations.

Delivery of Stock to Wolf & Badger

If your inventory is located in a different country from the US, you need to export your products from the source country and import them into the US. You will act as both the exporter of record in the source country and the importer of record in the US, and must comply with all laws and regulations of the source and destination countries. You will be subject to import taxes, customs duties, tariffs, and fees levied by the United States.

Wolf & Badger will not act as the importer of record; the importer of record is responsible for ensuring that the shipment is successfully imported into the destination country. Responsibilities include filing legally required documents and paying assessed import duties, taxes, and tariffs.

Notwithstanding the above, Wolf & Badger offers the following informal guidance on the importation of your goods:

  • Use a reputable international courier such as DHL, UPS, or FedEx. Our preferred partner is DHL.
  • Do not use local postal services for international shipments. Deliveries that are handed over to USPS will not be accepted.
  • Address all shipments to yourself, care of Wolf & Badger, as follows:
Yourself, c/o Wolf & Badger, 8500 Melrose Ave, #109, West Hollywood, CA, 90069, United States. (Suite #208)
  • All shipments into the United States are now subject to duties and tariffs, regardless of value. The previous de minimis threshold of $800 has been suspended.
  • Each shipment must include a commercial invoice and a packing list. Declared values must be identical across all documents, and all values should be stated in USD. The consignee (owner of goods) must be clearly listed. The purpose of the shipment must be stated as “Goods for resale” or “Commercial merchandise.”
  • Duties and taxes are calculated based on the country of origin and the Harmonised Tariff Code (HS code) listed on the commercial invoice. The country of origin and HS code must be clearly stated, and HS codes should be used consistently for similar products.
  • Tariff rates are subject to change. For reference, you can use this Avalara guide to check current tariff rates, but always confirm the latest information on official U.S. government websites.
  • All shipments must be sent DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) so duties and tariffs are prepaid. If Wolf & Badger is billed as the receiver, the shipment may be refused or all costs charged back to you.
  • Do not send shipments with a declared value above $2,501 without prior notice to Wolf & Badger. For higher-value shipments, we may need to provide additional information and identification numbers to the receiver.
  • Keep copies of all invoices and airway bills, as U.S. Customs may query shipments retrospectively. Never under-declare values.
  • If a phone number or email is required on shipping documentation, use:
    LOS ANGELES: DA 01 (213)+12136695961 and lastore@wolfandbadger.com

    Sale of Goods

Wolf & Badger will collect the applicable sales tax, if any, on the products or on the shipping, which will be added to each customer’s purchase order on all products sold at the store and will make payments to the applicable taxing authority.

The price of goods set by the seller through the Wolf & Badger dashboard should not include sales tax. This will be added by Wolf & Badger where necessary (i.e. for sales made in-store or to customers resident in LA) and remitted to the appropriate authorities as required.

Wolf & Badger will report and pass through the total sales value to you, less the administration fee (commission) applied to each sale, and after deduction of any sales tax paid by the customer, where applicable.

For US suppliers, Wolf & Badger can produce a Resale Certificate to each supplier upon request.

Receipts and invoices, where applicable, will be produced for customers by Wolf & Badger.

Sales may be made on your behalf to customers in any country from stock held in-store via the Wolf & Badger website. To help you meet your own reporting obligations, we will notify you of the country to which orders have been dispatched through your monthly report.
