Can I use AI-generated imagery on Wolf & Badger?

Your guide to AI-generated imagery on Wolf & Badger

Wolf & Badger welcomes AI tools as part of your creative process. AI-generated and AI-enhanced imagery is permitted on your listings and brand profile, provided it meets the standards below. These exist to protect our customers, who trust us for the fact that what they see is what they receive.

THE GOLDEN RULE: AI may shape the scene, never the product.

You can use AI for backgrounds, settings, lighting, lifestyle context, and styling environments. You must not use AI to generate, alter, or "improve" the actual product. The product’s shape, colour, material, texture, proportions, or detailing must be shown truthfully.

Every listing must include at least one true, unedited photograph of the actual product (the hero / PDP image). AI-styled images may support it in the gallery, but cannot replace it.

ACCEPTABLE

- AI-generated or AI-enhanced backgrounds and scenes (e.g. placing a real product photo into a styled setting)

- Lighting clean-up, shadow/reflection tidying, background removal

- Lifestyle / mood imagery for your brand story or secondary gallery images

- AI-assisted models wearing or holding a truthful representation of the product

NOT ACCEPTABLE

- AI-generated products where no real photograph of the item exists

- Altering the product's colour, fabric, pattern, fit, or dimensions so it differs from the item shipped

- Adding embellishments, hardware, or detailing the real product doesn't have

- Visibly low-quality AI artefacts — warped hands, melted text, distorted seams, impossible reflections

- AI imagery that implies a material or origin claim the product can't substantiate (e.g. faking a "handmade" or natural-material look) — this risks misleading customers and breaches our sustainability standards

- Obviously AI-generated people — synthetic or uncanny-looking models (off proportions, waxy skin, distorted hands or eyes, garbled background figures). Any person shown must read as a believable real human, not a generated one.

If in doubt, ask your account contact or submit a contact form before publishing — we're happy to review.
